Leeds Youth Voice Summit

Today four children (were school council representatives last year) attended the very first Leeds Youth Voice Summit which was held at the Leeds Civic Hall.

In total 35 primary schools were represented at the summit where the DSCN1987children learnt about democracy, to discuss what they thought made a good school representative, were
consulted about the proposed South Bank development and were asked for their thoughts and ideas. The  children were also invited on a tour of the chambers, met the Lord Mayor of Leeds and asked him lots of questions.
