This week’s meeting

This week school council had Miss Wright visit as a guest speaker to find out which sports we wanted to see being taught in our PE lessons. She also asked which sports we would like to have featured as after school clubs in September.

There were lots of really good ideas and Miss Wright went away buzzing with plans for after the summer holidays!

Friday 14th November

Another week has flown by! And another busy week it has been too! This week we’ve started our new literacy topic on information texts and we’ve been looking at lots of different types of  texts to identify the features.

In maths we’ve been looking at time and I’ve been so impressed by how hard the children have worked and how much perseverance they have shown when they’ve found something tricky.

This morning we went to the art gallery to do a printmaking workshop which was fantastic…the children produced some wonderful artwork and i’m proud of how well behaved the children are. They were true ambassadors for our school.

Next week we are finishing our topic on time before looking at written methods of multiplication, so make sure you practise your times tables over the weekend. In literacy we are continuing our information texts topic and our Roman topic in History.

Our star of the week this week is Eileen. She has been trying really hard in all subjects this week and has shown brilliant progress in maths.

Have a brilliant weekend.

Miss Nicholson 🙂
