Queen’s Street Party Lunch

Today, lunch was just a bit different from usual. We held a street party as part of our Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebrations.

Children had the opportunity to have a party lunch with sandwiches, crisps, veggie sticks, chocolate crispie cakes and jelly and ce-cream while music played in the background.

The Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebrations

This week children will be learning all about the Queen, with every class being allocated a decade to focus on.

This morning (Monday) members of School Council started the week’s celebrations off with an assembly explaining what was going to be happening and announcing which class had which decade as they were picked out of the hat.

There will also be a street party lunch on Thursday and on Friday everyone can come to school dressed in red, white and blue (colours of the Union Jack). The week’s celebrations will end with another assembly where children from each class will share their learning.
