Meeting 2.4.26

We were once again joined by Mrs Carroll and Mrs Thomson to give us some further updates regarding the playground. We discussed a new idea about how people could help support our new playground plans. We had some great ideas that the adults are able to take on board.

We had a big discussion weighing up the pros and cons of getting a large sand pit. We talked about what objects we would need to make this possible. Mrs Thomson set us the challenge to think about what items people would donate.

Meeting 19.3.26

Mrs Price joined us for the first part of our meeting this week. We discussed awards for attendance for those people who achieved our school target, those people who achieve 100% attendance and those people who achieve 100% throughout their Allerton career. Mrs Price showed the children some protypes and got us to discuss them. We were then asked to take these ideas back to class to discuss them further.

Meeting 5.3.26

We were joined once again by Mrs Thomson and Mrs Carroll. They provided us with an update about the playground and the equipment they have already purchased. We discuss different types of markings that could be used on the playground as well as looking at maps to decide where they might go. Mrs Thomson tasked us with taking the sheet back to our class to vote on the markings that are class preferred.

Meeting 4.12.25

We welcomed Mrs Thomson and Mrs Carroll to our school council meeting this week. We brought together lots of our great ideas we have had about improvements we would like to make to our playground. Mrs Thomson helped facilitate our initial discussions and then explained we would be given a survey to fill out with our classes. The children were really excited to feed this back to their classes and we are looking forward to hearing their suggestions.

First Meeting – 8.10.25

We held our first school council meeting of the year. We began by introducing ourselves and discussing what we hope to achieve this year as part of school council. We were all very excited to receive our school council badges and our school council notebooks. We talked about a wide range of topics from possible fundraising ideas to equipment we would like for the playground. Mrs Stott asked us to have a think about the Children tab on our school website and whether it needs changing. We ended the meeting by picking 6 charities that we would get the school to vote on and narrow it down to 4 chosen charities.
